Frequently Asked Questions
What is In-Home Care?

Instead of sending your loved one to live in a facility, in-home care brings caregivers to them. This way they recieve one-to-one, specialized care and age comfortably in their own home.

What kind of Care do you provide?

We provide almost any non-medical care. Anything from transfers and bathing, to meal prep and light housework, to general companionship.

What if I Need Medical Care?

If you need someone to give nutritional advice, administer medications, set up IV’s, monitor vitals, etc. it is best to supplement our services with hospice care. We have several agencies we can refer to you.

WIll we see some different every day?

No. We strive to provide consistency and build relationships with our clients. Your loved one will only have one or two caregivers who will provide care and support. This makes it easier to provide for your specific needs and for them to build rapport with your loved one.

How does 24/7, Live-in care work?

We find caregivers willing to live with your loved one for three to seven days a week. We then staff up to two caregiververs who will each work complementary and consistent schedules to limit the number of people in and out of your house.

What do I need to provide?

For hourly care all you need to provide is the time and expectations through our consultation.

For live-in care we require there to be a bedroom with a bed for our caregivers. Since they are living at the home for several days at a time it is also expected they will be able to eat from the clients food supplies. Generally they eat the same meal the cook for your loved one.

What is hourly Care?

If your loved one doesn’t need someone there 24/7 but needs assistance with getting ready for the day or bedtime, only for meal time, or just a few hours of companionship hourly is the right approach.

Is there a minimum of hours?

To provide your loved one with consistent care we have a 4 hour minimum. This allows us to assign one or two caregivers to your family and cut down on the amount of people in and out of your home.

Is this covered by Medicare/aide?

No, since we do not provide medical care they will not pay for our services. However, if you carry private, long-term care insurance you may be able to have them cover much of the cost of our care.

How much does it cost?

Our base prices are as follows:

Live-In Care (24/7): $287/day

Hourly Care: $20/hr

We keep our prices as low as possible to give the opportunity of aging in place to as many people as possible. Give us a call to discuss your specific needs and price.
